While X-rays provide valuable information, they cannot show us everything that is going on in one's mouth. That's why we have an intra-oral camera, which is another form of diagnostic equipment that enables us and you, the patient, to see what is inside your mouth.
The intra-oral camera is small , the size of a dental mirror. It works like a tiny video camera. We can magnify a tooth up to 25 times or give you a video tour of your entire mouth. The images are displayed on a computer monitor and can be printed. You can see such things as worn or broken fillings or cracked teeth.
This technology allows you to actively participate in your treatment because you can see what we see !This will give you a clearer picture of the conditions in your mouth and it will help you, the patient, make treatment decisions with confidence.
